THE ANGEL’S SHARE - TELEVISION

What if the only way to win the game...is to change the rules?

Set to the toe-tapping riffs of original jazz music, THE ANGEL’S SHARE is a one-hour Limited Drama Series inspired by C.W. Hunt’s true-life account ‘BOOZE, BOATS, AND BILLIONS’, about rum runners on Ontario’s Great Lakes during the height of prohibition.

Setting a fictional story against the backdrop of a real past events and  peopled by actual historical figures, imaginary characters - like our protagonist Frances Vincent - act as our passport into a fascinating, and largely covered up period of Canadian history.

THE ANGEL’S SHARE is a story of smugglers and bootleggers, of gangsters and speak easys, of fabulous wealth and daring gambles. And the tale of a romance like no other.

In partnership with award winning jazz duo Dizzy and Fay. http://dizzyandfay.com

BADWATER FLATS is a one-hour neo-Western meets a Supernatural Mystery series. The story follows Anthropology student Evie Hale as she searches for her fiancé Bennett Fortuin who went missing in Death Valley where he was working for the Bio-Engineering corporation E.G.D.E. Inc.

SELECTED FOR CMF AND NFCF DEVELOPMENT FUNDING THROUGH  Canada-South Africa Co-Development Incentive for Television Projects 2021.

Developed in partnership with Andi Copley (Executive Producer, Daytime Emmy Award Recipient)

When his mysterious disappearance is quickly given-up on by local authorities, Evie Hale marshals her courage and heads into the desert to find her fiancé, Bennett Fortuin herself. Following a breadcrumb trail left by clues in her fiancé’s research and guided by mysterious apparitions of Bennett himself, we journey into the desert and arrive at the exclusive Badwater Flats Resort - the only tourist accommodations  for miles. There we meet the different ‘camps’ of the desert locals. The ‘settlers’ here are the Timbisha Shoeshone Indigenous tribe who make Death Valley their home, the ‘ranchers’ those who choose to operate a commercial resort in one of the most inhospitable places on earth, the ‘prospectors’ are young Hollywood hopefuls, stopping at the resort enroute to LA and dreams of stardom, the ‘outlaws’ researchers who travel to the valley to take a stand against the misappropriation of precious natural resources to increase profit margins. And like all good mysteries, it’s this strange, isolated group of modern-day frontiersmen that become Evie’s community – and ours – as we search for clues to Bennett’s disappearance.

THE FISH TANK - VERTICAL SERIES

#nofilter

A small town news channel investigating a residential dumpster fire interview a string of hapless locals inadvertently bungling a jewel heist.

When a mysterious driveway dumpster fire burns a suburban house to the ground, a small town news channel decides this is just the story to claw their way back from the brink of insolvency. Armed with single (despite her best efforts) camera woman, a mute boom operator, and a camera-shy reporter, they start their investigation by interviewing the neighbours of the quiet rural cul-de-sac. But they aren’t prepared for the hilarity that ensues, as each testimony that emerges paints a different view of the new neighbours at the centre of the scandal - and each story is more outrageous than the last. What caused the fire? Was it a wayward cigarette butt, or was it arson? Who, exactly, ARE the Bao’s? And who’s going to save THE FISH?!
